New member perk: Introducing the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Member Referral Program
According to a study by McKinsey, word of mouth is the primary factor behind up to 50% of purchasing decisions, and 92% of consumers trust recommendations from friends and family over all other forms of advertising.
With this in mind, we’ve created the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Member Referral Program, or MRP. The MRP offers our members the opportunity to be rewarded for referring their personal contacts to Saskatchewan Blue Cross. When one of their referrals signs up for a personal health plan, both the member and the person they refer will be eligible for a referral reward.
How it works
After joining the program through our platform partner, Referral Rock, members will receive a unique referral link. Members can share their link with personal contacts, inviting them to apply for a personal health plan. If one of their referrals chooses to purchase a plan, both the member and the person they refer will earn a $50 gift card. The referred member must keep their plan active for at least 90 days before they become eligible for the reward.
This program is open to both personal and group plan members.
Why incentivize referrals?
We know that our members are our best brand ambassadors, with word of mouth being one of our strongest sources of new applications. By incentivizing referrals, we’re encouraging our members to share their positive experiences with friends and family. We’re also providing a new value-add for members, allowing them to earn rewards for referrals.
The Member Referral Program is another way we’re differentiating ourselves from competitors in the market. This program allows us to continue to wrap arms around existing members and clients to enhance their experience as Saskatchewan Blue Cross members.
Can advisors participate?
At this time, this program is exclusive to our members, due in part to Insurance Act regulations for intermediaries of SBC products. But we’ve got exciting things headed your way later this year – stay tuned!
