This fall and winter, we are excited to be a sponsor of some very special events all over the province. Join us in supporting our community and celebrating the holiday season!

Each year, Saskatchewan Blue Cross supports more than 250 initiatives, events, and organizations that are like-minded in their focus on empowering Saskatchewan residents on their journey to whole health and wellness. Our Community Investment Program is focused on creating partnerships with organizations province-wide to encourage the health and well-being of Saskatchewan people while placing priority on initiatives advancing health literacy. As a not-for-profit organization, our profits are reinvested into communities in Saskatchewan.

The Achieving Business Excellence (ABEX) Awards

• We are proud to sponsor the Community Involvement Award at the Achieving Business Excellence (ABEX) Awards on November 5, 2022. The ABEX Awards celebrate the success of businesses and business leaders across the province. The Community Involvement Award goes to a business demonstrating exceptional performance in its support of the arts and culture, amateur sports, education, healthcare or voluntary groups.

Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon

• The Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon is Saskatchewan’s largest annual maternal and pediatric fundraiser. Saskatchewan Blue Cross is thrilled to support this annual, province-wide event that not only raises funds for urgent needs but raises the spirits of our entire community. Each year, the inspirational broadcast provides a glimpse into life within the walls of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, featuring stories from Saskatchewan children, families and medical staff. During our Power Hour, Saskatchewan Blue Cross will match all donations made, so tune in!

Enchanted Forest Light Walk

• It’s back! We’re so excited to welcome back The Saskatchewan Blue Cross Light Walk – taking place Friday November 18th from 5pm- 9pm! The BHP Enchanted Forest Holiday Light Display is hosted by the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation and the City Hospital Foundation at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park. In it’s 24-year history it has raised over $5,00,000 is one of Saskatoon’s best holiday traditions. Join us in celebrating the holiday spirit on November 18th, 2022 for the Light Walk or enjoy the display from your vehicles warm, cozy seats Saturday November 19, 2022 to Sunday January 8th, 2023.

St. Paul’s City Hospital Mistletoe Ball

• The Mistletoe Ball and Baskets are a great fundraising opportunity for our community. This year’s event will support advancements in diagnostic imaging at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) upgrade will significantly reduce patient wait times. We are proud to be Gold sponsors for this year’s Mistletoe Ball on November 19, 2022, at the Sheraton Cavalier; learn more or purchase your basket here.

Ronald McDonald House Home for Dinner

• The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Saskatchewan are hosting the annual RMH Home for Dinner event. The Saskatchewan Blue Cross is proud to be the Family Sponsor. Whether you enjoy your meal with your loved ones at home or attend the intimate, in-person event at the Brick Loft Event Co. in Saskatoon, the night’s program is sure to delight you. Participate in the online auction virtually or in person and see a great performance from Saskatchewan’s The Steadies.

Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation Festival of Trees

• Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation invites you to join them in celebrating the Christmas season with the 2022 Festival of Trees, “A Royal Christmas.” This year marks the 27th Annual Festival of Trees, and Saskatchewan Blue Cross is pleased to help them continue this wonderful Christmas tradition within The Battlefords as a Bronze Sponsor. Join them in ushering in the Holiday season while raising funds for healthcare. From Friday, Nov 25th – Friday, Dec 2nd, all things Festival of Trees will be happening at Western Development Museum. The seasonally decorated items, including trees, wreaths, swags and accent pieces, will be artfully arranged at WDM and available for the silent auction. There will also be various events you can be a part of within your group of friends to celebrate the season together.
