Saskatchewan Blue Cross® Joins Forces with MS Canada on Annual MS Walk to Support People Living with Multiple Sclerosis
Saskatoon, May 16, 2023 – The Saskatchewan Blue Cross MS Walk is set to take place on May 28 in locations across Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan Blue Cross, is a leading health and wellness provider in the province and joins MS Canada in celebrating the power of community, walking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) one step at a time.
The MS Walk is an annual event where thousands of Canadians across 45 communities coast to coast take part in a walk to raise awareness and crucial funds for MS research, support, and advocacy. This year, Saskatchewan Blue Cross lends its support, bringing people from all walks of life together in the fight against MS.
“We are proud to join MS Canada in this vibrant demonstration of community and resiliency,” said Kelly Wilson, Interim President and CEO at Saskatchewan Blue Cross Saskatchewan. “Through collective action, we aim to raise awareness about MS and provide crucial support to those affected by this condition.”
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic neurological disease that affects over 90,000 Canadians. The MS Walk serves as a platform to celebrate the community that supports people living with MS, as well as their loved ones. It raises funds to provide programs and services, as well as vital research that advances treatment and care, promotes well-being, and ultimately the prevention of MS.

Canada has one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis (MS) in the world. On average, 12 Canadians are diagnosed every day. MS is a chronic autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord). Most people are diagnosed with MS between the ages of 20 and 49.
