Important update: Changes to Travel plans effective March 5, 2024
To better align with the dynamic landscape in the travel market, two significant changes are on the way.
Rate increases
Our Individual, Annual, and Top-up travel plans will experience a rate increase to ensure continued comprehensive coverage and support.
Health Declaration age and travel duration eligibility
We have expanded the scope of health declaration requirements for certain age groups and travel durations. Please note the following changes:
- Travelers aged 55-59, traveling for 18 days or more, will now require Health Declaration C.
- Travelers aged 60 and over, regardless of duration, will now require Health Declaration C.
The following table provides a detailed breakdown of age and duration requirements for Health Declaration C.
Age |
Duration |
Health Declaration C required |
0 – 54 | Any duration | NO |
55 – 59 | 0 – 17 days | NO |
55 – 59 | 18 days or more | YES |
60 and over | Any duration | YES |
Transition period
- All sales made after March 5, 2024, will be subject to these new requirements and rates.
- Existing quotes saved in the system prior to this date will no longer be honored.
- There will be no transition period or pop-up message activated in the system.
We strongly advise following up with clients and members who have existing quotes or those intending to extend their trips to secure rates and ensure health declaration eligibility before the March 5, 2024 changes take effect.
Watch for further training and resources that will be provided prior to the implementation date to ensure a smooth transition.
